Fully potty training for preschooler

The children who did not yet finished Potty training cannot move to preschooler room between 4 and 5 years old. Ratios are 1:10/1:8. Our daily routine is so busy with young children. Pre-schoolers should recognize sign of their bladder and bowel movements, and wipe their own by themselves, also change underwear by themselves. We do not have potty training staff in the preschooler room. The staff cannot do program and other children are waiting for accident child to changing time. It is unfair to others.

fully toilet trained: child(ren)
- knows when they should go use the toilet, they know the feeling and do not need to be reminded or adhere to specific schedule that the teacher enforces.
- can pull up/down their underwear/pants to use the toilet.
- no more wears diapers /pull-ups during the day.
- can wipe themselves for any occasion.
- can change their clothes.

If your child has 5 accidents in 2 weeks, your child would be retrained at home and can return center when the child is fully toilet trained.Daycare fee is still accounted because your child’s spot is being held until he/she returns.

Children behaviour guidance

Misbehaviour is behaviour that is inappropriate. Children get hurt physically and emotionally because children are behaving inappropriately. Thereby, Dover daycare is implementing this Misbehaviour Policy.

All parents whose children are enrolled in the centre, should advise their children of the following misbehaviour.
1. Saying bad words
2. Biting/Hitting/Scratching/kicking
3. Breaking toys
4. Tearing books
5. Throwing toys
The staff will keep anecdotal records of the children doing the above-mentioned misbehaviour. A child who misbehaves for three times with incident report, the Director will talk to the parents. If the child continues to misbehave in the centre, two weeks’ suspension will be imposed. If the child continues to misbehave after the suspension, the child will be terminated from the program/daycare.
Parents are still accountable for payment of tuition during this time period because their space in the classroom is being held until they return.
